Winter is fast approaching and all we want are savory, warm, delicious baked goods. We love our sweets but what could be better than a savory muffin.

Savory Keto Muffins

Things you need

  • 1 packet of Good Dee's Muffin Mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cups of melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan

Here’s How

Beat eggs with melted butter and fresh herbs. In a separate bowl mix poultry seasoning, white pepper, and grated nutmeg with the muffin mix. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and then stir in shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan or 12 cup muffin tin. Bake at 350 F for approximately 20 minutes.


Helpful Notes

You can use black pepper if you don’t have white pepper. You can use one teaspoon dried thyme and one teaspoon dried sage if you don’t have fresh, but I don’t recommend dried rosemary. It’s definitely worth seeking out the fresh rosemary for this recipe. Fresh herbs give it a wonderful flavor and you can use them in the rest of your holiday meal too.
