Sometimes you just need a quick dessert without all the fuss. Here at Good Dee's we have discovered many life hacks to dessert. Our top tip for this recipe is to make the cake ahead of time, reserve half and store in the freezer for future trifles. This only requires about 10-15 cubes, save the rest for future night caps or share with family.
This recipe is quick and easy and the base is nut free!
Good Dee’s Chocolate Cake Fruit Trifle
1 Good Dee’s Snack Cake – baked according to directions and cut into cubes
3 tablespoons of Good Dee’s Chocolate Chips
Fresh berries – we used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries
Bake your Good Dee’s Chocolate Snack Cake according to the directions and allow to cool. Once cooled, cube half your cake for your trifle and reserve the rest for leftovers.
Using a glass bowl or parfait cup, assemble your trifle in layers. We like to start with whip at the bottom and layer to the top.
Adding your chocolate cake, berries, chips and topping off with extra chips for fun. If you are feeling nutty, add in some of your favorite nuts and enjoy!
